at the Supreme Court on Wednesday,
said that the Court had to
rescue Congress from the trap of being
afraid to vote against a “racial entitlement”—
the “entitlement” in question being
the Voting Rights Act.
The last time the Voting Rights Act was extended, in 2006, vote in the Senate was 98 to 0. The House vote was nearly unanimous.
